CMRemix ROM for T-Mobile/Canadian Galaxy Note 4! [Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow]

So, you want to try Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on your T-Mobile or Canadian Galaxy Note 4?

Well, previously, many international ROMs were compatible with the T-Mobile models but starting with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, this has sadly come to an end. You can still install them but your SIM card will not be recognized.

But not all is lost as there is one Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow ROM you can install called CMRemix ROM. Installation is a bit of a mess but you can follow our step-by-step video tutorial (see the latter part of our video overview for full installation instructions).

CMRemix ROM gives you pretty much everything you need including your data, 4G LTE, voice, bluetooth, WiFi, etc.. working out of the box. The only thing not working on this ROM is 4K video recording but 1080P and still camera works flawless.

CMRemix ROM also brings you high level of customization tweaks through its CMRemix Settings menu that will allow you to tweak and customize your status bar, display, notifications, lockscreen, buttons, shortcuts, and much much more.

Overall, this is an excellent Marshmallow ROM for your T-Mobile or Canadian Note 4 so give it a try this week(end) and do let me know what you think!

Red Text!! Wiped system, installed nightly first. Got this error message.

E:Error in updating updater binary in zip ‘/external_sd/CMRemix-trltetmo-MM.6.0.1_R3.nIGHTLY-V4.2-20160103-003745.ZIP in red error text, and install stopped.

Am currently re-downloading from xda to see if different DL makes a difference.

  2. DrivingRhythm says:

Error also states I should do a factory reset., so I will.
Ok, sucessful after facory reset, system wipe, install…. whew.

Doesn’t recognize sim card on n910w8, no sim card detected on the setup screen. Any fixes?

  4. Kyumin Han says:

I’m using a n910t. The ROM installs correctly and it works flawlessly, except one thing; it recognizes my SIM card, I can make calls, it works fine. BUT I don’t have data. I am using an unlocked phone, using Cricket Wireless. I feel like there is an easy fix, but I’m not sure what it is…

  5. DrivingRhythm says:

Having the same problem, can phone but no data. Can’t use this Rom until someone figures out fix.
Also 4G seems very weak, sometimes there, sometimes not.

    • Kyumin Han says:

I found a fix. I don’t know if it would work for all, but I simply chose a different network operator, then changed back to mine. Data suddenly worked. Now I’ve been using this rom for about 4 days, haven’t had any problem yet. It’s great.

not working for me on 910W8 Note 4 same error as others

  9. DrivingRhythm says:

Sometimes data is working, sometimes not.
Was working, so I saved backup in TWRP. When I rebooted after this, data not working.
Is this Rom performing well for many people?
Very spotty behavior. Also seems to crash when some apps are run…”Sorry, xxxx has shutdown”.

TO GET YOUR DATA WORKING- Slide the notification panel down. Press and hold on your Provider Network, this will show you our data usage, use the menus to find and change your network. It isnt set to your provider by default.

Ive had nothing but problems with this Custom ROM. Lags and reboots from time to time, 4G LTE goes in and out, but mostly out, ive had to switch to 3G just to get any type of service. When i first loaded it and installed FB, it basically would open up to the FB logo and then disappear. Other apps would just take about 8 to 10 seconds to open. Plus ive encountered many issues trying to get out of this ROM back to stock. If anyone has any information about why this happens please let me know.

    • Jen says:

Same with me! Horribly buggy, each update seems to fix one or two things, and break 3 or 4 more.. Wish I knew how to make roms so I could be of some help on bug fixes!

  12. nazngn says:

I have the tmobile and for the data to work just go to mobile networks and in network mode put 2g and wait 5 seconds then put it back to 4glte and you should have it, if not make a new APN.

  13. nazngn says:

And remember install rom first then gapps then factory reset, if not you’ll get lots of errors.

Hi, can someone please answer me, I have Note 4 N-910F international, which when i use the “Phone Info” app it says that my device is trltetmo Germany, I have tried many roms 5.1 and mashmallo 6, but none of them worked so far

I have flashed Twrp trltexx for roms that are N-910F and Twrp trltetmo for N910T which is t-mobile, none of them has worked,
Whenever i flash either it shows no sim, or it goes in loop,

In the back of the battery and in the box it says SM-N910F,

    If anyone else experienced this,

  15. Punky Purple says:

I was successful in flashing this ROM on my N910W8. The only problem is the camera. It keeps on crashing so I restored back to my other ROM backups.

  16. NEO says:

installed on my N910T and did all the updates. very glitchy, torch works sometimes when screen is off, blacks in and out, constantly looses desktop pic and defaults to stock background. so many issues it’s just not worth using. I sure would like something more like S7 platform… or even a note 5 platform as it would be nice to use my S Pen. I will keep looking. for those of you that have issues loading this MM I had to do a factory wipe to get 4.2 to load.. then did another factory wipe after 7.2 . but still got way to many glitches. the pie wheel was the coolest part of the upgrade. back on 5.1.1 and it works perfect rooted and everything. will keep looking for a better MM. thanks but no thanks.

  17. Miike says:

Anyone found out anything about the sim yet still not working for me even after i have tried 6 times so far. an follow the video step by step still nothing an i pissing something?

    • Neo says:

try doing a factory wipe before you install 4.2 MM… then download gapps, then do another factory wipe… then install the 7.2 MM. see if that works. it did for me…

      • Neo says:

make sure you reboot after gapps then go through 4.2 and skip everything like max’s video shows. only difference between his install and the one I did was I did a factory rest on both before 4.2 and after gapps. hope this helps

  18. Atmeshwar says:

link to 2nd rom is dead

  19. J LE says:

Hi I followed the steps and my phone still doesn’t detect wifi or the camera doesnt focus at all, please help

  20. Farhan Mazhar says:

I recently installed it. Great rom overall but the biggest issue is that I can’t enable wifi. Whenever I go into settings, it keeps saying turning wifi on but it never turns on. I have already tried wiping everything and reinstalling the rom, and its still not fixed. I flash the stock Marshmallow rom and now wifi is working. If anyone knows a fix, PLEASE let me know.

  21. Sanjay says:

Same as above comment. Wifi does not work making this unusable. I am on SM-N910W8

  22. Zach says:

Everything working on N910w8. Took a few tries, but got it up and running with SIM and WiFi after some fiddling.

    Thanks for the install instructions!
