I know many of you are probably running the Dr. Ketan ROM for your Galaxy Note 4 and while that ROM is an excellent ROM, it wasn’t a full S7 Edge Port and didn’t have Always On Screen working.
For those of you who have been waiting for S7 Edge port on Note 4, definitely check out the latest version of Dr. Ketan ROM.
Originally developed for SM-N910G, Dr. Ketan’s ROM can easily be installed onto SM-N910F Note 4. You should also be able to install on T-Mobile or Canadian Note 4 with custom kernel and data fix (see the download link).
Ready to take your Note 4’s performance to new heights? Then read on.
With Resurrection Remix ROM for the Galaxy Note 4, you can improve the performance of your phone by 20-30% over stock performance and almost reach the levels of Note 5. Although still behind Note 5, I was able to score near 70K on Antutu. And as you can see in the video, the Note 4 performs just as good or maybe even a bit better in the graphics department also resulting in higher 3D scores.
For those of you looking for early bird experience into the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4, you will probably have to wait until January or February. But if you have a rooted phone with TWRP recovery and a model that’s supported (such as the SM-N910F or SM-N910G), you can grab the unofficial CM13 ROM to enjoy Marshmallow today!
For those of you who want to root your Galaxy Note 4 or Note Edge on Android 5.1.1, you will need to flash a custom kernel on top of regular root method, otherwise you may end up in a bootloop. This is because Samsung has updated Android 5.1.1 with root block and the only way to get around it is to install custom kernel before installing SuperSU.
For those of you looking for a versatile AOSP ROM (What is AOSP?) with multi-window and floating window like TouchWiz ROMs, definitely check out the latest SOKP ROM.
I have been a great fan of SOKP ROM ever since its birth a few years back and the latest Android 5.1.1 version for the Note 4 is better than ever. Based on latest Android 5.1.1, you will be able to enjoy pure Google Android Lollipop 5.1.1 the way it’s designed to, not a botched version it on TouchWiz.
Need a solid AOSP ROM (What is AOSP?) for your Galaxy Note 4 with Android 5.1.1 and root out of the box?
My current favorites include the Resurrection Remix ROM and the CrDroid ROM. Over my month long vacation, I got to test out the CrDroid ROM in Thailand and worked beautifully well for a great/fast AOSP experience. Of course, this is an AOSP ROM so if you use a lot of Samsung specific gadgets (like Gear S watch, S-View Cover), it’s probably not for you as you will lose those features. But if you absolutely need to be on the latest Android 5.1.1 with pure Google, CrDroid is a great choice.
For those of you looking for fast and simple TouchWiz-based custom ROM for your T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4, definitely check out the Rapture ROM.
Based on latest Android 5.0.1 Lollipop T-Mobile firmware, the Rapture ROM brings you a ton of speed and lag-free experience (especially for those of you who install lots of apps) with excellent battery life.
Looking for the latest and great CyanogenMod ROM? Want the best AOSP ROM(What is AOSP?) right now? Check out the latest CM12.1 ROM for your Galaxy Note 4!
Based on latest Android 5.1.1, CM12.1 ROM brings you lots of new features along with added stability, performance, and great battery life. Of course, you will also be able to enjoy many of the new features like on-screen navigation buttons while your hardware buttons are disabled, CM12.1 Themes, all new Lollipop features that come with Android 5.1.1.
