CM12 ROM for Galaxy Note 4! [Lollipop 5.0.2]

For those of you looking to enhance your Galaxy Note 4 by installing a pure Google custom ROM, look nowhere else than CM12 ROM by XDA user Slayher.

The CM12 ROM brings you the best and latest Android Lollipop 5.0.2 to your Note 4.  Of course, this is still in beta stages but I’ve used it as daily driver fine with no problems other than no NFC and 4K video recording.

This particular build is for the T-Mobile Note 4 SM-N910T but it should be flashable/compatible with any Qualcomm-based Note 4 phones like the SM-N910F or Sprint SM-N910P.  (Just don’t flash on any Exynos-based Note 4, you may end up with a hard brick and a dead weight.)  The dangers for cross-flashing is minimal (actually none based on my experience) so long as you flash on Qualcomm-based Note 4.  Also, if you have AT&T or Verizon Note 4, you are out of luck as the bootloader is locked and you can’t even install CWM or TWRP recovery (unless you have the developer’s version but who buys that?).

So, if you do have SM-N910F or Sprint SM-N910P, please do try flashing and make sure to make a backup ROM beforehand.  In the worst case, the ROM will not boot or you can’t get data working.  For getting data working, make sure you set APN, see our APN guide.  If you get status 7 error, you may need to remove the asserts, also see our Status 7 Error Fix guide.

Installing a rom from another device can brick your device. Installing N910T roms on N910F will hard brick the device. Installing this hardbricked my N910F. Please do your research.

I tried installing CM12 for Sprint Note 4 but I keep keeping getting a red error message on recovery…I already wiped system cache etc

I’ve successfully installed this on my T-Mobile Note 4 with no problem, only bugs are that in call volume is low, I have to actually bring the volume down for the volume to boost up, no NFC or 4K recording, thank you very much for this upload!

I successfully installed cm12 on my T-Mobile Note 4 and while there aren’t too many major bugs within the OS (well done XDA), my battery barely lasts 5 hours. Clearly some issues with power management in ROM. I suggest people wait until an official version of CM12 comes out. Just my $0.02.

“Enhance??” Quite the opposite actually. By installing this, all you’ve done is remove every reason why the note 4 is the best phablet on the market and instead turned it into a nexus… or just an undersized tablet.

Doesn’t run on the 910F. Just says stuck in boot on the cyanogen mod screen.

I confirm, this is not working on SM-N910F. Error message while installing from TWRP.
Fortunately I did not brick my device. I restored the backup I took before installing and I was back in business.
Currently running on official Lollipop 5.0.1 (source Sammobile) but with heavy battery drain issues …

  15. I’ve got it to work on my 910F but it doesn’t recognize my 128GB microSD. Wouldn’t want any phone that doesn’t.

Works on my T-Mobile; however, I cannot restore any of my apps using Titanium Backup. The ROM is very fast but I have several apps that have data in them and I can’t restore it. I’ll have to wait for the official. 🙁
