Android 5.0.1 Lollipop Stock ROM + Root for T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4!

android-5.0.1-lollipop-stock-rom-tmobilenote4

Tired of waiting for Android Lollipop update on your T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4?

Well, T-Mobile still is lagging behind other carriers and international models by many months but the good news is that Lollipop update is now available for Canadian Note 4 SM-N910W8.

So what?

Since T-Mobile Note 4 is 100% compatible with Canadian Note 4, you can go ahead and install the Canadian Lollipop stock ROM on your T-Mobile Note 4.

The only thing missing?

You will lose T-Mobile WiFi-calling feature as it’s not a feature on the Canadian Note 4 and you will lose all the T-Mobile bloatware but maybe you don’t want them anyways.

Overall, this is a great way to update your phone manually and get Lollipop today, not when T-Mobile decides to push it out.  So, if you have been waiting like a dog, take control over your phone and try Lollipop today!

Download:

Download Android 5.0.1 Canadian Stock Lollipop ROM for T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910T (also you can install on Canadian SM-N910W8 of course!)

Download SuperSU (If you want root, install this right after the ROM)

  8. Mike says:

I had the same problem the first time I flashed – no data no matter what. After a hard power off and reboot, the data side returned. Maybe a known issue, but after a few days it’s still working flawlessly…

    Thanks Max!

Been using it for a while, everything works, be sure to flash the Tmobile CSC, and check your APN settings afterwards.

Hey Max great job, almost everything on the rom runs perfectly, just that I noticed that private mode no longer works I don’t know why, my data is gone, and some other stuff but then there’s more cool stuff than bad, like no bloatware from TMO. My question is if I download the stock 4.4.4 kitkat firmware for my SM-N910T and flash it with Odin will it work? I noticed now that my model number changed to the Canadian version of the note 4 and I’m afraid I won’t change back

Pansy. You ROM bad, you likely pay the price. It’s rolling the dice. Are you a rebel or are you not? If you are scared and timid– these kind of activities are not for you.

My advice is to sack up and soldier on. Having a little courage may finally put some hair on your balls. This stuff is a lot of fun. But, you take the bad with the good. And as you get smarter, the bad is less often and most of the time it is just a few sets of annoying steps to undo the bad. But, ultimately, once in a while you will find yourself up %#!t creek without a paddle. It happens, being prepared ahead of time for those feelings of failure and what-am-I-going-to-do-now helps.

That being said, you are wetting your panties for no reason. Put stock back on, be sure to use triangle away… your Model mismatch will most likely be gone as the newly flashed US T-Mobile Stock ROM will probably set it ‘right’ just as the last ROM set it ‘wrong’. Best move on your part is to try it and see if it works.

Alternatively, next time, instead of sniveling about an unimportant detail like your model being reported by the software ‘wrong’:

      Communicate your desired end result.
“Hey guys, I want to turn in my phone for warranty/insurance reasons. So I want to flash the stock ROM and for whatever reason my current ROM shows the wrong Model in About Device– and that is not going to fly with my terms of agreement which say I shouldn’t have done all the naughty things I’ve tried.”

      Give useful background information.
“I am running CM12 that I flashed from TWRP.”

Happy hacking noob. I look forward to arguing with you as an equal in the future if you don’t wuss out on us.

    Hi Max,

    great info

just want to ask i have a Tmobile note 4 which i got sim unlocked already and upgraded to tmobile’s lollipop
I was wondering since this version does not have toggles for mobile data and tethering will this be solved by installing the Canadian Stock Rom?

also will this remove the sim unlock and lastly is the Stock rom you offered linked to any telco in Canada or is it a generic Stock rom?

    Thanks
