CrDroid ROM for Galaxy Note 4! [Android 5.1.1 + Root]

Need a solid AOSP ROM (What is AOSP?) for your Galaxy Note 4 with Android 5.1.1 and root out of the box?

My current favorites include the Resurrection Remix ROM and the CrDroid ROM.  Over my month long vacation, I got to test out the CrDroid ROM in Thailand and worked beautifully well for a great/fast AOSP experience.  Of course, this is an AOSP ROM so if you use a lot of Samsung specific gadgets (like Gear S watch, S-View Cover), it’s probably not for you as you will lose those features.  But if you absolutely need to be on the latest Android 5.1.1 with pure Google, CrDroid is a great choice.

How to Unroot Galaxy Note 4 with Stock Firmware!

For those of you who need to unroot your Galaxy Note 4, perhaps because you need to return your phone for warranty, need to get out of a nasty bootloop, or simply tired of using custom ROMs and want to run stock, you can do so easily by re-installing the stock firmware.

Now, unrooting with stock firmware does not erase anything if you are coming from stock ROM or firmware, it will simply update you to the latest stock firmware you flash.  However, if coming from custom ROM, you may need to do a factory reset.  Doing a factory reset in stock recovery (after unrooting) WILL ERASE EVERYTHING on your phone.  You may have to do that so if you are coming from custom ROM, BACKUP EVERYTHING on your phone before following the guide.

BobCat Lollipop ROM for Galaxy Note 4!

My favorite BobCat ROM is now available for Lollipop!  The BobCat Lollipop ROM for the Note 4 currently for SM-N910F Note 4 models only (but should be coming to T-Mobile/Canadian/South American users soon)

What’s new with BobCat Lolli?

Well, there’s actually not too many changes from KitKat other than that its now based on latest Android 5.0.1.  I found stock Android 5.0.1 Lollipop actually pretty solid, BobCat Lollipop simply improves upon it and gives you the BobCat theme and its BobCat ROM Control Settings to customize your phone to your liking, something I can’t live without.
