It’s actually best to install the Flashify App from the Play store first. If nothing else, it will download the most current version of the recovery you want to flash. The one I d/l using the app was only an incremental change than the one linked to here, but as we should all know, those incremental changes mean bug fixes, sometimes MAJOR bug fixes.

Will this work with the international version, the N910F?

    • Warren says:

If you go to the TWRP site to download the actual image (which BTW gives you the option of tar files that can be installed with Odin) there is only 1 file listed for the Note 4 that will work for all versions of the Note 4, no matter which one you may have.

I just installed the Twrp recovery on the N910H and its working like a charm 🙂

  5. Warren says:

If anyone prefers Philz Touch to TWRP, Do a search for Philz Touch 6 for Galaxy Note 4 on XDA, and you should be able to find it.

If you already have TWRP installed, simply download the .zip and install it in that recovery.

If not, the .zip file has a .img file in it. Go to XDA again, and do a search a program to convert .img to .md5 file format Odin uses. Then boot into download mode and simply install the converted file that way.

Hi. I rooted my Note 4 a few days ago and it was successful. and later on i noticed that my phone lags specially when watching a video, gaming or even typing a message. I search for solution and found this (Edit build.prop from “” to “” reboot) i followed it and it works even before booting. then after I boot it and turned on, everything on my screen display becomes small. i undo the thing i did and put back from false to true, then reboot but didnt solve my prob. pls help…

  7. jc says:

Hi. my phone’s model is SM-N910H. and it’s open line . and i already fixed the problem last night, i downloaded build prop tweak and found out that my phone’s DPI was changed to 420, i research the normal Note’s 4 DPI to see if it was the problem and see that it’s custom DPI is 600 something, and i copied that value and rebooted. now i have normal display again :)))

  25. Simon says:

I made the mistake of “PDA”ing a sprint .TAR file instead of the Canadian .TAR file. But, now when I do it correctly with the Canadian one, and after pasting the SuperSu into my download folder and turning off the phone and then holding volume up+middle button+power bar. I get into recovery mode but right after recovery mode it goes into “installing system update….” and then “No command” shows up and after that I get the following message and options:
    Android system recovery

    Volume up/down to move highlight;
    power button to select.

    reboot system now
    apply update from ADB
    apply update from external storage
    apply update from cache
    wipe/data/factory reset
    wipe cache partition
    reboot to bootloader
    power down
    View recovery logs
    Enable cp logging
    Disable cp logging

    and at the bottom in yellow it says;

    — Appling Multi-CSC…
    Applied the CSC-code : GLW
    Successfully applied multi-CSC.

Any sort of help would be appreciated, thank you.

P.S I tried downloading a root app and it says device is not rooted.

is there something i’m missing or doing wrong?

  31. Matthew says:

Hi Max. I really appreciate your videos which I think are great. I was in a big issue where my note 4 (SM-N910F) was constantly rebooting after I tried to root it with odin. Before the step where it was supposed to show the big red android in went into boot looping.
With the help of your video I have managed to fix it with the openrecovery-twrp- which I had downloaded from your website. So no it starts (thought I had to wipe all the memory). Awesome though, your great!
But now, I have downloaded and copy the into the phone.
Now when I go in my twerk recovery it’s not showing like in your video. It says error under the small green android and I get instead the menu when I can chose like: reboot system now, apply update from ADB etc.
I do admit that because I was in that loop booting when I tried it for the first time like you said, when I was in downloading mode and runned odin it didn’t work unless I have whipped the cache partition and as well wiped data/factory reset BECAUSE the phone was starting with this message from which I couldn’t pass: you phone has it’s memory damaged and has to be factory reset…. So I done it. Now twerk is not working properly. Can you enlighten me again please :-). What to do next to finish this rooting? I presume I have to finish first the twerk recovery which I can’t….
    I appreciate your time.
    Thank you for your help

If I have an unlocked Sprint Note 4 can I put a T-mobile SIM card in it?

What would the procedure be to get it working on t-mobile at full speed and functionality.

I read some posts that say people have put a T-Mobile SIM card in a sprint note 4 but the speeds were slow.

Some guy is selling one for 100 bucks but don’t want to buy it if it’s going to be slow.
