I know many of you are probably running the Dr. Ketan ROM for your Galaxy Note 4 and while that ROM is an excellent ROM, it wasn’t a full S7 Edge Port and didn’t have Always On Screen working.
Category: Canadian Note 4 ROMs
For those of you who have been waiting for S7 Edge port on Note 4, definitely check out the latest version of Dr. Ketan ROM.
Originally developed for SM-N910G, Dr. Ketan’s ROM can easily be installed onto SM-N910F Note 4. You should also be able to install on T-Mobile or Canadian Note 4 with custom kernel and data fix (see the download link).
For those of you who want the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with root (based on official Samsung firmware not AOSP) on your T-Mobile SM-N910T, Canadian SM-N910W8, or international SM-N910F, you can do it by installing Dr. Ketan’s ROM.
Based on SM-N910G (which is the only model available with official Marshmallow on Note 4 models), Dr. Ketan’s ROM brings you the latest official Android 6.0.1 stock firmware to your Note 4 plus root and much more.
So, you want to try Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on your T-Mobile or Canadian Galaxy Note 4?
Well, previously, many international ROMs were compatible with the T-Mobile models but starting with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, this has sadly come to an end. You can still install them but your SIM card will not be recognized.
For those of you looking for a versatile AOSP ROM (What is AOSP?) with multi-window and floating window like TouchWiz ROMs, definitely check out the latest SOKP ROM.
I have been a great fan of SOKP ROM ever since its birth a few years back and the latest Android 5.1.1 version for the Note 4 is better than ever. Based on latest Android 5.1.1, you will be able to enjoy pure Google Android Lollipop 5.1.1 the way it’s designed to, not a botched version it on TouchWiz.
Need a solid AOSP ROM (What is AOSP?) for your Galaxy Note 4 with Android 5.1.1 and root out of the box?
My current favorites include the Resurrection Remix ROM and the CrDroid ROM. Over my month long vacation, I got to test out the CrDroid ROM in Thailand and worked beautifully well for a great/fast AOSP experience. Of course, this is an AOSP ROM so if you use a lot of Samsung specific gadgets (like Gear S watch, S-View Cover), it’s probably not for you as you will lose those features. But if you absolutely need to be on the latest Android 5.1.1 with pure Google, CrDroid is a great choice.
Looking for the latest and great CyanogenMod ROM? Want the best AOSP ROM(What is AOSP?) right now? Check out the latest CM12.1 ROM for your Galaxy Note 4!
Based on latest Android 5.1.1, CM12.1 ROM brings you lots of new features along with added stability, performance, and great battery life. Of course, you will also be able to enjoy many of the new features like on-screen navigation buttons while your hardware buttons are disabled, CM12.1 Themes, all new Lollipop features that come with Android 5.1.1.
For those of you looking to try experience the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop today, you are in luck as there’s several Android 5.1 custom ROMs floating around. Of all the ones I’ve tried so far, I can recommend you the CM Remix ROM, which comes with latest Android 5.1 and root.
Tired of waiting for Android Lollipop update on your T-Mobile Galaxy Note 4?
Well, T-Mobile still is lagging behind other carriers and international models by many months but the good news is that Lollipop update is now available for Canadian Note 4 SM-N910W8.
Since T-Mobile Note 4 is 100% compatible with Canadian Note 4, you can go ahead and install the Canadian Lollipop stock ROM on your T-Mobile Note 4.
For this week’s ROM of the week, check out the BeanStalk ROM ported by XDA user Mod57!
Based on latest Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, BeanStalk is an AOSP ROM (What is AOSP?) that can be installed on T-Mobile, Canadian Note 4, SM-N910F, and probably any other international Note 4 with Qualcomm CPU. If you are looking for a top-notch AOSP Lollipop ROM that’s going to turn your Note 4 into a super Nexus device, BeanStalk ROM can do that as it also comes with a ton of customization.
